Ultimate Judo Summer Timetable 2026

Our revised summer timetable runs from 4 July to 17 August 2026. Members can attend any age-appropriate class at no extra cost throughout the summer.

As we approach the summer holidays, we'd like to thank all of our members and families for another fantastic year so far. Like every summer, we've made a few adjustments to our timetable to reflect the school holidays. During July and August our numbers naturally reduce as many families are away on holiday or have different childcare arrangements, so our summer timetable allows us to continue providing great coaching while giving members plenty of opportunities to train.

Summer Timetable Dates

Our Summer Timetable begins on Saturday 4th July 2026 and we'll return to our normal class schedule on Monday 17th August 2026.

Please remember that the club will be closed from Saturday 11th July until Friday 24th July (inclusive) for our annual summer break.

The new timetable is attached to this post and is also available across our social media channels.

Train More This Summer

One of the biggest advantages of our summer timetable is flexibility.

Throughout the summer, all Ultimate Judo members are welcome to attend as many sessions as they like within their age group, completely free of charge.

There is no need to book in advance—simply turn up and train.

Many members use the summer to gain extra mat time, train with different partners and continue developing while the regular timetable is reduced.

Looking Ahead to August Gradings

When we return in August, we'll move straight into our grading programme, so we'd encourage everyone who is around over the summer to make the most of the additional training opportunities.

Every extra session helps reinforce techniques, improve fitness and build confidence. If you're hoping to grade after the holidays, the summer is the ideal time to put in the work.

Summer of Sport Supported Places

We're also delighted to confirm that all of our Summer of Sport supported places have now been allocated.

The response this year has been exceptional and we'd like to thank everyone who applied. We hope it helps take some of the financial burden of entertaining the little monsters over the holidays away.

A Reminder About Membership Fees

We know this question comes up every summer, so here's a quick reminder.

Ultimate Judo membership fees are calculated over 46 coaching weeks each year and then spread evenly across 12 monthly payments.

This means that you are not paying for the weeks the club is closed during the summer. Your monthly payment simply remains the same each month, making budgeting easier for families throughout the year.

A Few Important Reminders

  • Members may attend any summer session appropriate for their age group at no extra cost.
  • Tuesday classes continue to take place at the Alex Collie Centre, Bridge of Don.
  • Thursday Tombo sessions remain invite only.
  • Due to our safeguarding procedures, we cannot run a children's class if only one or two children attend. If attendance appears particularly low, please check with the coach before leaving the venue.

Have a Great Summer

Whether you're spending the holidays travelling or staying in Aberdeen, we hope you have a fantastic summer.

Thank you for your continued support of Ultimate Judo. We look forward to seeing many of you on the mat throughout the summer and can't wait to kick off another successful grading season when we return to our full timetable in August.

If you know anyone looking for children's activities in Aberdeen, summer sports for kids, or a welcoming judo club in Aberdeen, feel free to share our timetable with them—they'll always receive a warm welcome at Ultimate Judo.
