We had four judoka competing, and each showed what it means to live by our motto: Always Forward.
Karl – Gold Medal: A fantastic performance, showcasing his determination and technical ability.
Imogen – Silver Medal: Brilliant judo throughout the day, earning a well-deserved place on the podium.
Lloyd – Bronze Medal: Fought hard and brought home a strong result with grit and focus.
Liam – Tough Category, True Judo Spirit: Up against a strong field, Liam showed excellent attitude and fighting spirit, representing the club with heart even without a medal this time.
What stood out most at the Judo Scotland Grand Prix event was not just the medals, but the judo spirit our athletes demonstrated. From the courage to travel in difficult conditions, to the determination shown on the mat, this was a weekend that highlighted what judo is truly about.
Every contest, win or lose, was a step forward in their journey. That is the meaning of Always Forward — never standing still, always striving to improve, and supporting each other along the way.
This Grand Prix event was a great marker of progress, but it’s just one step in the season. The team is already preparing for the next challenge, ready to put lessons learned into practice.
We are proud of every competitor who represented the club, and we look forward to more opportunities to show our judo spirit across Scotland.
Always Forward.
