The biggest event on the national calendar saw talent coming from all corners of the UK to compete for the coveted title of British Champion. fighting in the u81kg category, Shaun stepped onto the tatami to show himself and everyone else what he was capable of. Defeating the current British Champion on the way to this medal match, he won 3 of his 4 matches convincingly by Ippon, the top score in Judo.
Getting a podium place in a competition of this level is very impressive and the result of months of hard work, commitment and challenging himself. We can't wait to see what he achieves next. I have the feeling this will just be the start.
